| MARQUEE VENUES IN AND AROUND LONDON
There are some magnificent venues in and around the London area that allow either a marquee to be sited in their grounds, or who have a marquee already on site that you can hire for parties, weddings or corporate hospitality events in the London area. Below is a list of the London marquee venues that we have identified so far, and we will update this as others come to our attention.
Freud Museum. 20 Maresfield Gardens London NW3 5SX
Home to Sigmund Freud and his family when they escaped from Nazi Austria in 1938.Remained the family home until 1982, when his youngest daughter Anna died, and became a museum containing his remarkable collection of classical and oriental antiquities. The centerpiece of the museum is his study, which is preserved exactly as it was during his lifetime. There is space in the garden for a small marquee which seats about 40, and you have free choice of caterers. Exclusive use of venue available. The museum is now being developed as a cultural and Research Centre, and the marquee provides a unique and unusual venue for a party, seminar or film shoot.
The Pavilion. 185a Park Road, Hornsey Middlesex, N8 8JJ
Set in eight acres of sports fields, The Pavillion cricket club and function rooms provide space and facilities for very large marquees. This is a very flexible marquee venue, and you can just pay for ground rent for the marquee and arrange everything else yourself, or The Pavillion can arrange everything for you.
Syon Park. Brentford, Middlesex TW8 8JF
Home to the family of the Duke of Northumberland for over 400 years, it is hard to believe that this magnificent Tudor estate surrounded by its own parkland is barely 10 miles from central London. It has its own large furnished marquee which seats up to 600, and other sites are available for huge marquees including bespoke marquee events for up to 2000 people. It is a sensational London venue for weddings, shows, balls, parties and corporate hospitality.
Beauberry House. Gallery Road, West Dulwich, London SE21 7AB.
Shortlisted as "Best British Wedding Venue" by Wedding TV, this Grade II listed Georgian house has panoramic views across Belair Park, and offers a marquee for up to 400 people on the green in front of the house. Exclusive use package includes venue hire and catering, but excludes marquee hire with you being free to choose your own supplier. Civil license for up to 80 people. Well worth consideration as a South East London marquee venue.
